Basic Bread Dough Recipe

5 cups unbleached or bread flour ( 4 3/4 unbleached and 1/4 cup mixed whole wheat and semolina flour.)

1 1/3 tbsp active dry yeast

2 1/4 cups warm water

1 tbsp salt

1/4 cup olive oil

 

Add ingredients to a bread machine and mix well for 3 - 5 minutes.

Let rise for one hour. Shape into desired shape. For a fluffier bread do a second rising. (See photo.)

Bake in preheated oven for 25 - 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

For a chewier crust-place a cup of water in oven while baking.
