Buttery biscuits

Make 12 Biscuits

2 cups White Lilly Self-Rising Flour
1 ½ cups buttermilk
¾ tsp baking soda
¼ cup vegetable oil for dipping

Mix first three ingredients thoroughly without over-mixing. Roll out dough to ¾" thickness. Cut out each biscuit with biscuit cutter or large mouthed jar or glass.

Thoroughly dip each biscuit into oil and then allow excess oil to drip off of each biscuit. Place each biscuit in a cast iron skillet or cast iron biscuit skillet that is also greased.

Bake at 390 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes in preheated oven.
