Honey Rusks
2 cups wildflower honey or other fragrant local honey
1 stick salted butter
1 loaf finely-textured bread
- Melt butter in honey over low heat. Blend mixture with whisk. Remove From heat and cool for several minutes until safe to handle.
- Slice sweet bread evenly with crust removed.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and mist with a coating of non-stick spray.
- Arrange slices of bread evenly on cookie sheet and brush each side with honey mixture.
- Bake for 20 –30 minutes at 300° - 325° for thirty minutes. Remove from oven and cool for ten minutes before handling. Stack on parchment paper and allow to dry for one hour before storing.
